Today’s post is about the Bulls Eye Facebook Targeting that is available through Facebook ad manager.

Most people are simply unaware of the laser focused targeting possibilities which exist to present your ads too for any business.

Facebook makes it easier than ever to get your important content in front of the consumers, clients, or prospects that matter to your business.

Now that Facebook has partnered up with the major consumer reporting agencies, advertisers are able to real the benefits of a completely connected digital society. True, this may be scary in regards to privacy, however, if you are looking to grab the attention if a certain sub set of consumers, Facebook is the place to do it.

Targeting he right consumers for your products comes down to testing, refining and testing some more. The down side is that you may have to spend a little money before you will actually start to see any results. The good thing is, however, the analytics offered are amazing. Testing with Facebook ads will give you more information than you know what to do with, as long as the reporting analytics bare set up right. This is no easy feat, but absolutely worth the time.

Starting an ad out to targeting the right audience is impossible because you may not know exactly who your perfect consumer profile looks like. This is where the testing comes in.

Say you own a hair salon. You may start your ad campaign out as a picture of a woman getting a facial with a coupon code for 10% off for new customers. The targeting for this ad could be all womenfolk in your geographical state. After running the ad for a week you will have results to look at. After analyzing the data, you may find that women 65+ who own their homes and drive sedans responded better to your ad by 20%. This new data can be used to refine your next ad and get even better results.

This is just a very rough example of the endless possibilities that now exist with the Facebook ads targeting system. Setting it all up does take some internet and web design knowledge, however, so if you are not sure and want to start, find a pro like MWVCW to help you out. Bulls Eye Facebook Targeting is best done by a pro for best results.

Today’s post is a relatively simple one. We go over the basics of internet marketing in today’s, “What is a blog and Why Should My Business Have One?”

Most business owners today usually are able to recognize the importance of having a website. Unfortunately many underestimate the importance of having a blog attached to the website. A blog attached to a website is imperative to correct digital marketing. Using a blog is what marketers call “content marketing,” and it is one of the only proven ways to get your website onto a search engine results page, and in front of prospects and customers.  Of course any business can pay through Facebook ads and Google Ad words to get their websites visible, however, this could require a huge marketing budget and a dedicated marketing team to set up, monitor, and collect the results from the ads to better refine them. Content marketing using a blog on your website is a great “Frugal” way to get a businesses website out there without draining the bank account.

How to set up a blog

Setting up a blog is super easy, free, and there are endless platforms to utilize. Finding a comfortable platform that you like, are able to customise, and has posting/sharing features already integrated, will help your blogging efforts dramatically. I use WordPress for not only the blogs that I run but also as the website CMS or “Content Management System.” A CMS is a software used to create, upload and configure each post, as well as all the content, or the webpages in general. Blogger and WordPress are the goliaths in the Blogging world and have great user features, analytics to measure the performance of a blog and easy sharing options.

Why Attach a blog to a website?

Attaching a blog to a website is as simple as adding a dedicated page to an existing website and start writing. Why should any business consider doing this?

  • It helps get your website better indexed in search results
  • It gives you the ability to answer your customers frequently asked questions
  • It can give you creditability in your businesses field
  • It gives you the ability to gain trust from your prospects
  • It brings more visits to your site
  • It helps build “Backlinks” to your website which helps search rankings
  • Gives you plenty of stuff to share on your social channels!

The options are almost endless as to which CMS or “Content Management System” you should use to build your website on. When building a new website, especially for a contractor or other small business, many factors have to be taken into account. Such as analytics, functionality, and ease of use. Today’s post goes over the Top 3 Reasons to Use WordPress to Build Your Website.

Wordpress CMS

#3. Statistics

WordPress unlike a lot of the drag and drop website builders available today has so many statistic integration possibilities that it would take all day to list in a post. Instead, I’ll go over the most widely known and used. Facebook, Google webmaster, and Hubspot are just a small example of the most popular. When using WordPress as your CMS for your website you have the ability to basically see, record, and act on as little or as many site statistics that you want. Beginners could just install the Jetpack plug-in to get a glimpse of how many visitors are viewing their site on a daily basis and add Facebook share buttons to pages and posts. Advanced users could install Hubspot for professional marketing duties like contact forms and email address captures. Basically, with WordPress, you can add as few or as many options to your website as you want.

#2. Creation & Functionality

The options are truly limitless as to what kind of site you can create using  WordPress to build your website.  Beginners can use the themes that come loaded to the WordPress install, whereas expert and advances users can craft custom themes or download themes that others have made. Customizing a theme is as easy as the drag and drop builders and offers many more options. The functionality options that are able to be added are truly limitless. You can pretty much create, design, and have your website do whatever you can dream up using WordPress.

#1. Ease of Use

Many think that to use and customize a WordPress website, an expert design team or coding background is needed. This is just simply untrue. If you can post to Facebook, chances are that you can post to a website using WordPress. Coding knowledge is not needed because for most tasks, there is already a plug-in in the WordPress dot org database that offers the options needed. Simply install the plug-in and you are on your way. WordPress offers the ability to pick and choose as many or as little plug-ins to your site as you want, just keep in mind that too many plugins will slow your site’s loading speed, which will hurt your search rankings.

Finishing up

Wix, Go-Daddy, Squarespace and the other options out there are great for people who do not have the time or think that they do not have the knowledge to create using WordPress. This, however, is simply untrue. WordPress is super easy, customizable, and runs about one-third of all websites on the internet for a reason. WordPress is a rockstar. The Top 3 Reasons to Use WordPress to Build Your Website is just a small example of all the reasons WordPress is the best. Share the Top 3 Reasons to Use WordPress to Build Your Website if you agree.

Facebook, Social Media Icons, SMM

Just about everyone has a business page on Facebook these days for their businesses. What these pages are actually for and what they can do for us is surrounded by a common misconception. Facebook is a “Social,” site, and therefore people are on it to socialize, not to find a roofer or a house builder. This does not mean that it cannot be leveraged to our benefit though. Growing a large following of likes and subscribers to our posts and news feed updates can turn into a client gathering machine over time.  Here is the point though, the time has to be put in.

Here is the point though, the time has to be put in. You cannot spend your time on Facebook jamming your ads and services in front of people and expect to find new clients that way. This is just not how things work. Again I’ll say that Facebook is a social site and must be treated as such if any amount of lead generation is expected from a page.

What does this mean to you and I?

It’s very simple. Be helpful. Business owners small and large would be better off spending their time crafting knowledgeable, informative content in the fields in which they are in to then share with their peers on Facebook and other social channels.

This is one of the only proven and effective ways to gain a larger following and thus enable the ability to turn your social media channels into a lead generation machine. You must put out information that people not only want to read but will become informed by doing so. You don’t have to solve quantum physics or anything, but a small bit of advice about the right type of paint brush surely wouldn’t hurt.

People are spending more and more time on Facebook now, and that number will continue to increase. Starting by planning, writing and sharing useful and helpful information will guarantee that your page will gather a following of targeted useful prospected clients for later on down the road. Help people and it will all come back around. The golden rule of “Facebook” is what I like to call it.

Painters, Roofers, Builders, and Contractors, having a website is imperative to the vitality of your small business.

On a scale of 1 to 10, the importance of having traffic that is targeted visiting your website, as opposed to traffic that is not, is about a 12.

We all want people visiting our websites. Who doesn’t really?

What gets mixed up sometimes by a lot of people is how important TARGETED traffic is.

Consumers today are spoiled.

With the advent of search engines and the growing popularity of online shopping, it has never been easier to find what a customer wants or needs in a few seconds. This can either be the best thing that a business has ever seen or the worst thing since taxes. As long as a business is receiving the right kind of traffic to their internet platforms, the internet can be a great resource.

Often people are under the misconception that any traffic is good for a web page. This is a sore mistake, however. The only way that a business will succeed in their online endeavors is if the traffic being routed to said website is geared toward the product or service in which the business offers.

Take MWV CONTENT WRITERS for example. We have a web page, a few social media platforms, as well as a blog attached to the web page. Now the content that is posted on the blog is then crossposted on tour social media outlets and is geared towards business owners, operators, and their respective online presences. This way, the traffic that receives at the web address is mostly consumers from the business related community. If MWVCW were to start promoting and writing articles on beach towels and how great the white mountains are in the summertime, sure the traffic to the site may increase, however, the traffic would not be targeted, and therefore pretty much useless. People who want to research the white mountains and read about beaches would be disappointed to land on a website about B2B, or, “Buisness to Buisness,” content marketing. Not only would they be disappointed, but they would probably never come back to the website again. This is just poor marketing.

This can be a great piece of knowledge when understood and implemented properly. The advantages of receiving only targeted traffic to a website are great. Targeted traffic, simply stated, means that the people landing on said pages are already actively seeking what product or service that the page has to offer.

Don’t send every Tom Dick or Harry to your businesses websites. It is actually counterproductive. Sending people who want or need your products or services to your websites are far superior content marketing practices.

Whether you are using a content marketing agency to provide your with content marketing services, defining your own content marketing plan, or outsourcing your social media and web content needs to a small company like MWV CONTENT WRITERS, having the correct digital content marketing strategy is the only way to increase visibility, leads, and sales.

It is a digital marketing world now, MWVCW would be thrilled to help you craft and implement an SEO based content management strategy to better drive targeted traffic to your web presence.

Many business owners/operators have no idea what content marketing is.

Simply put, Content Marketing is a strategy used to market, or share your businesses product or service by creating written, verbal, visual, audio content, or any combination together, to let the world know what you provide.

Content marketing is one of the only ways that customers will find your businesses products or services.

Every major brand or company has a digital content marketing strategy.

Content questions?
Content questions?

This usually involves writing articles, posts, and pages for websites, blogs, and social media platforms. Writing informative articles on the industry the business is in has a two-fold effect.

  • First, articles can be and should be, informative, interesting, and appealing to prospected customers. Writing pieces like this gives authority to the business in its respected field and lends weight to what the product offer is.

  • Second, articles are a vital part of a digital marketing strategy. These blog posts, when attached to the website, allow the search engines to read the pages and better decide what it is that you have to offer. Content Management is necessary to SEO, so customers can find the product or service in which you offer when they are looking for it.

There are many different ways to implement a digital content marketing strategy.

  • Written articles will work better over longer periods of time, giving your website traffic in the long term.
  • Social media posts will drive traffic from the social media sites to your website when done so correctly.
  • Video content will get people to engage with your brand on the social media platforms.
  • Audio content creation is another method to show people what a business is all about.

Combining a few of these resources and formulating a digital marketing strategy is one of the only ways to find new customers and keep the ones that you have. Paid advertising can be a part of the content budget, however, when the budget or ad expires, so does the traffic that came with it.

The digital age is here.

Ready or not.

Unfortunately, though, some business owners refuse to admit it. Denial, in this case, is detrimental to a business, its employees, shareholders, and customers.

Businesses who have not, will not, and are not implementing a digital marketing strategy, which is not only aggressive, but is also growing, are doomed to reap the sowing of customer loss, lack of client referral, and longevity insecurity. Business who have not created a digital marketing strategy already, and are not growing that strategy exponentially are going to fail. It is an unfortunate fact.

Blogging is a digital marketing tactic which is a must.

Data shows that companies who post 16 or more blog posts a month received 4.5X more leads than companies who do not blog.

43% of all adults admit to skimming blog posts.

A Facebook business page creates a better chance of being picked up by the big search engines like Google, Bing, or Yahoo. Stay open 24 hours a day! With a facebook page for your business, you can create and set up automated online stores and services that are available 24 hours a day. 4/05/2017-CSpinney2013-There are endless ways that a facebook page can not only help your business but helpfully contribute to your business today. There are so many reasons and positive results from having a dedicated facebook page for your business that it would be incredibly asinine to not only consider having one, but jumping into one head first! In this article, I will discuss the most obvious ways having a facebook will help your small business, for FREE.

A Facebook business page acts as another “string” in your businesses own personal “web.” The phrase “World Wide Web” may be flashing in your head right now with an “Oh yea” quickly following.

Your website, blog, facebook page, and all other social media accounts add into the creating of your corner of the World Wide Web. All these different entities or “platforms” as they are now called, are indexed in massive computers owned by the search engines, (Google, Bing, Yahoo.) Your goal as a business owner/operator is to rank high enough in a search result to be seen on the first page of a keyword or service that your company offers. If I own a tire shop, I want my businesses web page to rank first when a prospected customer searches for “Cheap Local Snow Tires.”

You may be thinking to yourself, “How does a facebook page effect my websites search result rankings? Believe it or not, it does. So does a blog, a twitter account, or any other social media profile that you can get your paws on. A facebook business page helps your online efforts by lending credibility or backing to your website. All social media profiles effectively promote each other creating a digital picture of what your business offers, and does. Search Engines see your digital “stamp” here and there and then know where and when to show your information in a search result.

Ergo, a facebook business page will help your business rank higher in a search engines results. Oh yea, I almost forgot, for FREE.

Businesses who use their facebook pages correctly can also benefit from free publicity. That’s right, free. Facebook already offers any page the option to collect reviews. Now, the snag here is that you cannot offer anything in exchange for said reviews, but nobody says that it can’t simply be asked of a customer, politely of course, by an employee. If a customer looks happy with the goods or services received, they will most likely be happy to leave a review for you on your facebook business page. The worst thing that can happen here is they say no. Most won’t though. Reviews are free publicity, and the best kind too, positive.

Getting personal with your clients. Facebook is all about sharing things. Why not use your facebook business page to take an interest in and get to know your customers? Getting to know your customers or potential customers, or, “target audience,” is an excellent way to get folks engaging with your page. Posting content related to the service or product you offer is the best way to do this. If you own a restaurant, post a recipe you use, or a cooking trick you learned. Content should be 75% audience targeted and 25% business related. You can’t shove “Buy ME” down people’s throats. This is indirect free publicity. Also, A Facebook business page is a great way to poll your audience if you are curious about that new dish on your menu or that new line of mud tires your selling. Asking questions about your products will reap handsome rewards of both praises, and pitfalls. Possibly some of the negative feedback received from these polls can be used to improve the next product.

Finishing up here, I believe that the reasons stated in this article are alone reasons enough to consider investing a little time into a free business facebook page. There are also many paid benefits as well, such as advertising and targeting specific audiences. The benefits reaped from creating and properly marketing a facebook business page highly outweigh the time it takes to create it. It does take some time to grow a substantial audience, but that’s for another article. Plus, if you don’t have the time to build or manage a facebook business page yourself, you can always ask me too.
